DescriptionAgreement for co-partnership for 10 year term beginning on 1 January 1810 between Thomas Smith and Henry Moorhouse, both of Sheffield, table knife cutlers and factors, partnership to be carried on in Thomas Smith's workshops and warehouses, business to be valued, buildings agreed at £876. 17s. 8d; Moorhouse's share of profits to be proportionate to new capital he brings in, beginning with £500, but never to exceed a half share. Smith to pay £30 yearly to partnership to cover rent of house included in value of buildings. Each partner to have salary of £150 with 3 months; sick leave; neither to stand surety, hire or discharge apprentices, journeymen or servants, or compound debts to firm without the other's consent, except that Smith may take son as apprentice. Survivor to carry on firm for self and partner's executors
