Administrative History
A school was built at Hallfield Gate in 1637 on a site given by Edward Revell and subsequently endowed by various people. The premises were rebuilt in 1830, with alterations in 1853, and enlarged in 1876. It became a Church voluntary school in 1893.
Custodial History
These records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office by Edward Revell Endowed (Controlled) Primary School in May 1988. Added to the catalogue as part of the FindersKeepers project by volunteer JW.
