Administrative HistoryTurnditch was originally a chapelry within the parish of Duffield. Baptisms began in 1783 and the churchyard was consecrated in 1846. It became an independent parish in 1847, when it was licensed for marriages. Until about 1847 Shottle and Postern was part of the chapelry. Windley was added to the parish in 1922.
