DescriptionGell's book of pedigrees is in Naples; comments on Gell claim to Irish barony; links with families of Darcy, Eyre, and Jessop; ended with death of James, Lord Darcy whose portrait Philip has `in an oval'. Gell's gout means that he has to be carried to the Margravine [of Anspach]. May be in Egypt for the winter, but disappointed in his principal Lord Blessington whom Gell intended should have paid costs of all the voyage to Alexandria and Jerusalem. Gossip about Mrs Georgiana Gell, estranged wife of Philip.
