The description reads as follows: Hognaston. R[ough] Draft [1709] Surveyor: [Sam. Hutchinson]. Size: 35 x 30 cm. Materials: ink on paper. Centred on: SK235515 Notes: rough paper sketch of 'Wm. Truman Abbots Closes': calculations all over both sides. Location:DRO, D258/35/33/1 Hognaston. R[ough] Draft [1709] Surveyor: [Sam. Hutchinson]. Scale: no scale shown. Size: 35 x 30 cm. Materials: ink on paper. Centred on: SK235515 Notes: no orientation. Rough sketch map, 4 plots (24 acres, 1 acre, 3 acres, 10 acres), plots not necessarily adjacent to each other: small fields with boundaries shown, some houses, fields and occupiers named, acreage given: New Closes adjacent Old Field, Knockadown House: terrier and calculations on reverse.
