Description
This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
No title [lower end of Green Fairfield, other of ye Nether Town etc.]. Surveyor: [Samuel Hutchinson c1709]. Scale: no scale shown. Size: 32 x 40 cm. Materials: ink on paper, repaired. Centred on: SK0774 Notes: shows named closes with areas, 83 acres, adjoining owners, lands in open field with dotted lines, house close to 'Town Street': area calculations in margin and on reverse together with details of Medow Farm and sketch of New Close. Location: DRO, D258/35/26/3
