Title
Letter - John Cocke at Tideswell to [Thomas] Gell - whereas Robert Pursglove, late Bishop of Hull, was buried in Tideswell chancel with a black cloth hanging on his grave for one year and was taken away by the vicar at the year's end and a like cloth was hung on the grave of Sampson Meverell and was taken away by the parish clerk, George Marshall, whereat James Pendleton, the vicar's brother, is much aggrieved, and as he believes the same should belong to the Dean and Chapter of Lichfield, please confer with Mr Pendleton on the matter and ask by what right he removed the cloth, and write to George Marshall likewise
