TitleLetter - Percy Farye auditors of North part of the Duchy of Lancaster to John Gell - he has written several times to Mr Alsop, executor to Mr Trott who was deputy to Sir Phillip Gell as receiver of the Honour of Tutbury, to discharge the balance on Sir Philip's account, £337 3 93/8d, and upon Trott's own account, £87 8 81/8d - unless the debt due to the crown from Sir Phililp is discharged before the end of Michaelmas term, the Court of Revenues will order process for the recovery of the same, 14 Oct, and draft letter from John Gell to Percy Farye - would have answered sooner but had hopes to find out how Sir Philip's estates were concerned in the affair he wrote about - for many years, Sir Philip gave to receivership with all profits, except deer, to Mr Trott - he never heard of any demand upon this estate, 24 Oct
