Deed to lead the uses of a fine whereby Sir Philip Gell and Elizabeth his wife agree to levy a fine to John Curzon of Kedleston, esq, and William Fitzherbert of Tissington, esq, of a messuage and croft (3 acres) with a croft called Button Parke (tenants Edward Hutchinson and John Steeple), - a messuage and close called Bridgate Pingle (tenant Mathew Bacon), - a cottage and smithy (tenant John Roose), cottages in the tenure of Samuel Dudson, - Eaton, widow, Elizabeth Ball, widow and Ellen Hayward, widow, all in Hopton, and a close called Lady Croft (formerly Hemp Yard) adjoining Carsington Church (½ acre), a close called Taylors Six Lands with a hade, and a beastgate in the Over Pasture (tenant Samuel Brough clerk), Bailiffs Meadow Furlong (tenant) Joseph Herald), a close called Bentleys and a croft called Sitherwis als. Sitherways Pingle (tenant William Gretrax), a close called Highfeild Pingle and 2 beastgates upon Sitherwis, Highfield and Coasthill (tenant John Gold) and a close called New Close (tenant Robert Needham), all in Carsington - to the use of Gell in fee simple
