Gift by Ranulph son of Ranulph de Alsop to William son of Henry de Hopton and Joan his wife of all his lands etc in Carsington and 20d annual rent, for their lives at a rent of 20s a year, with remainder to Stephen son of the said William in tail general, in default of heirs to William his brother in tail general, in default to the heirs of the body of the said William son of Henry with remainder to Ranulph. Witnesses; Richard Foljambe, Richard de Bradbourne, Nicholas Bate of Wirksworth, Thomas son of Simon de Hopton, Henry de Alsop, William Bythebrok, Robert del Dene etc
