This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
Wirksworth Rough Draft [1709]. Surveyor:Samuel Hutchinson..Scale: no scale shown. Size: 86 x 75 cm. Materials: ink on paper, conserved under plastic Centred on: SK286539 Notes: cardinal points on edges, north at top. Shows estate land, strips in open fields, named closes: church, churchyard, Great and Over Hanige, Middle Miln, Walk Miln and 2 unnamed mills: roads and footways, streams. Location: DRO, D258/18/6/14
