Description
Whereas the Griff Walk and Griff and the lead therein are the property of Gell and not part of the Kings Field - being desirous to work the Bage Mine, Dog Hole Rake and Old Sough Vein and all other veins in Griff Walk, to the south of Markdale as far as the Horse Road to the east which leads to Griff House from Hopton Moor - and whereas it is agreed that the profit or loss shall be shared at &frac224; part to Gell etc (recited) - to have liberty to make drifts, sink shafts etc for 21 years, &frac19; of the ore to be paid to Gell and 6d per load for cope.
