TitleMarriage settlement on the marriage of John Huish to Jane Elizabeth Ray between John Huish of Littleover esquire, John Ray of Heanor Hall esquire, Jane Elizabeth Ray of Heanor Hall spinster, and Rev George Henry Ray of Spennithorne, Yorks, clerk, Rev Henry Western Plumptre of Eastwood, Notts, clerk, Mark Huish of Harlesden House, Middlesex, esquire, (trustees), reciting the will of Margaret Smith late of the City of Bath, 3 April 1850, by which the residue of her personal estate is bequeathed to Mark, John and Marcus Huish upon trust to convert the real and personal estate to money and that M, J and M Huish should stand possessed of the estates and securities;
a portion of the residue of Margaret Smith's estate remains invested in an estate at Bresly, Lincolnshire, held by M, J. and M Huish under the terms of the will, by which John Huish has assigned to the trustees an undivided fifth part of an estate at Bresly, Lincolnshire, to which he is entitled under the will of Margaret Smith, upon trust for John Huish until the marriage: if the marriage is solemnised John Ray agrees to pay £4000 to the trustees for effectually securing which John Ray has assigned to the trustees, the sum of £4000 being part of £5000 in an indenture of 30 April 1855 assigned and declared to be kept on foot for John Ray.
