Title
Marriage settlement on the marriage of John Ray to Elizabeth Sutton Inman between John Inman of Chesterfield, gent., Elizabeth Sutton of Heanor Hall, widow, John Ray of Nottingham, hosier, Elizabeth Sutton Inman of Heanor (daughter of John Inman and niece of Elizabeth Sutton) and Rev John Radford of Aldercar Park, clerk, and John Radford of Smalley, esquire by which John Ray, Elizabeth Sutton Inman and John Inman have agreed to enter into a covenant with the two trustees (Smith and Radford) for the payment to them of £2000 within 12 months of the decease of John Inman and Hannah his wife upon several trusts: to pay the interest on the £2000 during the life of Elizabeth Sutton Inman as she shall direct and in default of such appointment to the separate use of Elizabeth Sutton Inman: after the decease of Elizabeth Sutton Inman to the use of such person(s) as she shall direct;
further, John Inman agrees to pay to Elizabeth Sutton Inman an annuity of £25 for own separate use;
also within 12 months of the decease of Elizabeth Sutton, her executors and administrators to pay to the trustees £2000 (if Elizabeth Sutton Inman dead) or £3000 (if Elizabeth Sutton inman alive) to be invested in securities, to the same uses as the £2000 first mentioned;
finally, Elizabeth Sutton to pay an annuity of £50 to John Ray during the life of Elizabeth Sutton Inman.
