TitleThomas Webb Edge, Richard Arkwright and John Toplis, in consideration of £1,502 3s 7d paid them by Francis Hurt , release all right to premise mentioned below reciting in part the will of Francis Hurt, dated 13 Feb 1782 by which he charged the manor of Heage and other properties, with payment of legacies of his personal estate etc was insufficient for their payment, that he died 6 Aug 1783, that his son Francis made his will 30 Aug 1800,which recited that he had paid his father's debt and legacies of £4,000 to Edge and £3,500 to Rev John Moore in the whole £9,775 and his father's personal estate, debts owing to him, stock in trade, were £7,855, leaving a deficiency of £1,900, 1802 that he died 5 Jan 1801 and the actual deficiency was £1,502 3s 7d, which by Hurt's will of 1800 was part of his personal estate and to be levied by his father's surviving devisee in trust Philip Gell out of the real estates and paid to the son's executors, and that now Francis Hurt son of the last Francis, was owner of the properties (manor of Heage etc)
