Title
Thomas Webb Edge of Notts. to Francis Hurt, inconsideration of payment of legacies of £4,000 and £1,000 left to Edge's wife Elizabeth by her father Francis Hurt of Alderwasley Esq. in his will dated 13 Feb 1782 (£4,000 to be paid after Hurt's death, £1,000 after Mary his wife's death) of claims to the Manor of Heage, properties at Morley Park and Heage in parish of Duffield and at Calton, Blore, Waterfall and Northfield in co Stafford and at Alderwasley and in parish of Crich, which were charged with the payment of the legacies of the will, and reciting inter alia that Mary Hurt died in 1801, and mentioning Hurt the testator's stock of wrought and unwrought iron.
