Title
Declaration by the inhabitants of the townships of Alderwasslegh, and Asheleyhey. Being far from a parish church which causes great hardship and whereas, with the consent of their ordinary and curate, they have repaired and rebuilt a chapel in honour of St Margaret in Alderwasslegh, that they have given a yearly rent, some money and some cattle for the sustenance of a priest there. It is agreed that the administration of this endowment should be entrusted to Thomas Low, Henry Bradshaw, John Ward, Richard Legh, Robert Alsoppe and Richard Newton of Alderwaslegh and William Bayghton, Richard Spencer and Thomas Dynfed of Hasshlehay and that Thomas Low, the vicar of Wyrkesworth and Richard Blackwall should be overseers of the conduct of the trustees. The trustees are to give account every year at the Annunciation (25 March) in the chapel before all inhabitants 1 Mar English
