[Four deeds stitched together:] I Grant Henry Graye, Lord Grey, William Troutebek, Ralf Sawcheverell, Richard Curson, Ralf Pole and Philip Leche to Thomas Handford, son of Handford of Chorley, deceased and to Joan, daughter of Thomas Fawne. All messuages, bands etc which once belonged to John Fawne, father of Thomas, in Allerwasslegh, [Alderwasley] Assheleyey, [Ashleyhay] Derbyshire Alsetter (Alcester) and Ordesley, Warwickshire and elsewhere in Derbyshire and Warwickshire to them and their heirs with the remainder to Thomas Fawne. Witnesses: Philip Olcer, Reginald Legh of Annesley (Northamptonshire) St Hilary 49 Henry VI Latin ii Copy of grant above iii Appointment Henry Graye, Lord Graye and others of Thomas Fawne To accept possession in their name of lands in Allerwaslegh [Alderwasley] etc (as above) and deliver them to Thomas Handford and Joan Fawne St Hilary 49 Henry VI Latin iv Confirmation Thomas Fawne to Thomas Handford and Joan Fawne and their heirs Lands as above Monday after St Hilary 49 Henry VI Latin
