Covering baptisms 1621-1623, births 1653-1661, baptisms 1661-1725 (dates of birth also recorded between 1695 and 1707), publication of banns 1653-1661, marriages 1653-1725 and burials 1653-1725
The volume is dated 1641 and opens with the Protestation return for Ashover in 1641, signatures of subscribers to the "Order of Parliament for Protestation and National Covenant". It also contains:
Note of individuals excommunicated in 1677 and 1679.
Baptisms 1621-1623 performed by Emmanuel Bourne, rector.
Detailed genealogical notes on Leonard Wheatcroft and his family, 1606-1660 (probably compiled by his son Leonard, register of the parish).
Note of two Wright family marriages, 1649 and 1671, and of the birth and death of Samuel Bourne, son of Rev Emmanuel, 1653, 1694.
Note that Leonard Wheatcroft was appointed register, 1653.
Copy of form of certificate to the Justices for the calling of banns, 1653.
