This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:

Map of the lordship of Breadsall. n.d. [1761-81]. Scale: 4 chains to 1 inch [1:3200].Size: 149 x 90 with 29 x 25 cm. attached at bottom. cm. Materials: ink on parchment, with some colouring on boundaries of land parcels: pieces removed from top left and bottom right of parchment. Centred on: SK371398 Notes: scale and compass rose intertwined, west at top. Shows houses in plan, river and streams, roads including 'Coalpit Road from Little Eaton', adjoining Lordships, named fields with reference number and area, bushes on boundaries: open fields - Derby Field, Lime Field, Morley Field, Near Wood Field - with individual strips with acreage and reference number: Common of 403 acres with one house plotted: Lime common 23 acres.
