This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:

A map of the lordship of Normanton next Derby in the County of Derby the old enclosed lands of which were collected and drawn from a Survey & Map taken the year 1728 by John Grundy And all the Open Fields Commonb Meadowa Common pastures were pursuant to Act of Parliament Survey'd divided and inclosed in the years 1768 and 1769 and the whole adjusted at that time. Scale: of 20 chains [14200]. :Size: 98 x 88 cm. Materials: black ink, some red letters, on parchment, backed on linen and folded. Centred on: SK346335 Notes: compass indicator, east at top of sheet. Shows village streeet houses in plan: open fields named Derby Field and Underhill Field with enclosed parcels, other closes named and acreages given, hedged boundaries: about 1500 acres: roads and adjacent lordships named: Table of proprietors, their area of old inclosure and allotments: endorsed in pencil 'Normanton Enclosure Map 1769'.
