TitleHandwritten letter from Dora Axon to Charles Ogden
Date29 Jan 1946
DescriptionThanks for the congratulations, but her work is less significant than his (uses metaphor of comparing bell of Big Ben with tinkle of a baby's rattle). Praises his T. L. S. review and use of the word "mismake". Pleased at the amount of space allowed for a review of Balston's Jonathan Martin in this week's T. L. S. Gives details of the reference to E. B. B. and about the canary reference [letter of 21 Jan 1946]. Thanks for information about Roger's Tabletalk. Comments about possible facial features of a Shakespeare. Pleased Thomas [dog] is better.
