Reports forthcoming job interview. Explains her view that there was not enough time to send him a draft testimonial but has used his suggestions in writing her application. Offers her good wishes for his dealings with a troublesome Board. Discusses the acquisition of a third testimonial and relates some of its positive comments. Describes playing in a concert at Bakewell and a daunting day playing in a quintet. Describes the challenge of re-entering library work when aged fifty: appreciative of encouragement received from several people. Anticipates being able to afford a London visit if she gets the job. Encloses some cuttings about Basic [not present].
