TitleTypescript letter from Dora Axon to Charles Ogden
Date16 Jun 1948
DescriptionAcknowledges troubling him with her difficulties. Describes her dissatisfaction with Ed Smith (solicitor) and recognises that she might need to negotiate: anticipates that Ernest's daughter, Flo, would be amenable. Mentions involvement of Joe; and her wish not to have any further involvement with the Gatley pair. Estimates that the books might weigh two tons; with additional weight of letters, steel files and pedigree notes. Asks if he will visit Buxton in the summer. Discusses access to trust money and related questions about obtaining household items and furniture. Reports discussions with the head of Cavendish High about recommending possible tenants and about a job. Asks for advice about whether to pursue matters with Ed Smith.
