Description
Draws attention to unfinished letter about Mr Lord. Pleased at news of a £200 legacy. Has not heard further from Mr Smith about various wills. Has listed some names under "M.G." [?Manchester Guardian]. Describes batches of letters about which she is unsure: mentions Bradford; death of Miles Hartley; Alex Gordon, head of Unitarian College, Manchester; Arthur Croxton, Ernest's first best man; Clement-Shorter; G. L. Cohaine; Osbert Sitwell; John Swann, Ernest's first assistant. Encloses part of a letter about a stamp. Mentions Joule; and Dr Shaw of the Public Record Office. Has attached some letters to related books. Invites Ogden to say if he disagrees with what she's done. Encloses one of Ernest's "pull-offs". Asks if she should bin photo blocks of Ernest and his father; and asks what to do with various manuscripts. Mentions various Axon family letters. Is working toward letting rooms: gives details relating to workmen and equipment. Has sold greenhouse. Had to spend money on repair to an outside wall. Mentions forthcoming music event in Tideswell and recalls last year's troublesome event. Describes recent event in Bakewell with a tiresome fellow violinist; has helped at a concert at the Gardens. Reports death of old Linton.
