TitleHandwritten letter from Dora Axon to Charles Ogden
Date27 Aug 1947
DescriptionThanks for map: will look for two maps she has of London. Had extravagant provision from Mrs Cannell: implies an over-abundance of food and reiterates her preference for economy. Confirms proposed date and predicts that she will enjoy Ogden's library. Reports a letter from Dr McLachlan about possible purchase of some books; and visit from Ernest's son Geoff and his wife - discussed disposal of Ernest's books, notes and papers. Geoff and wife are trying to treat her as a marionette, but for her own good. Her obstinacy will assert itself. Suggests Ogden should have a holiday.
