Description
Discusses her health and curtailment of a beneficial stay at Crich. Describes positive visit by Hampson in relation to probate, the house, contents including books and notes possible division of house into flats and genuineness of a portrait. Complains of failings of a firm of solicitors. Has writen to her cousin about trusteeship. Describes some fears about forthcoming London visit - has "gone to seed." Suggests a date and asks for cheap accommodation. Has many letters of sympathy to deal with. Encloses letter from Dr McLachlan asking about books for son Josh. Woolis has offered help, but is no better for treatment. Encloses of copy of a pleasing article by Dr McLachlan (Inquiries 9 Apr 1947). Asks whether Holleyman & Treacher ever send bills; has not paid for music received months ago. Met Dr J F Nicholls at Crich: a knowledgeable man - does Ogden know him?
