Thanks for Bach score and Handel Festival picture. Regrets the trouble he is having with Government: refers to Bentham's Panopt. Corners. Describes membership of weekly amateur music ensembles: Mrs Kerfoot wants to play duets. Comments on Ogden having portrait painted. Mentions Buxton tennis week, bu court has been waterlogged and rain is falling. Hopes Ogden is well: people say she looks well.
