Description
Discusses supposed frozen pipes and a plumbing error, a Hampden publication of the 19th century, the death of F. A. Holmes of Buxton who was interested in the English Speaking Union.
A manuscript addendum has been written by Dora Axon and discusses the snow and ice in Buxton, reading the diary of Frances Lady Shelley, 1818-1873, and a visit of Dr Harrison who had been watching the toboganning at Temple Fields
