Description
Agreement between Rev R.R. Vaughton [on behalf of J.H. Langston] and William Stratford Dugdale of Merevale Hall (trustees under the will of H.F. Okeover), Michael Barbery on behalf of John Williams the younger, Michael Williams and William Williams, all of Gurinrop, Cornwall, by which the trustees have let to the Williams full power to dig, mine and search for manganese under two parcels of land called Car Field and the Calves Close at Oldbury in the parish of Mancetter between the Coventry Canal and the house occupied by Charles Mather; power to clean it, carry it, make adits and watercourses: for two years, paying £2 5s 0d for every ton of manganese to be found, to be wighed 4 times per annum. 12 Jan
