consisting mainly of letters to Leeke Okeover many of them letters from tradesmen regarding the payment of debts : 29 Sep 1745, R Langley at Wykeham Abbey to Leeke Okeover mentioning "a meeting at York an account of the Highlanders and the day before arrived the first news of their having defeated the King's Forces" : 28 January 1745/1746 W and S Robertson to Leeke Okeover mentioning that "we are very sorry to hear that you had your house plundered by the rebels" : correspondence with R Langley (groom and Jeremy Kitching (farmer) regarding estate matters at Okeover 1747 - 1749 : corresondence with J G Cooper 1748 - 9 regarding the lease of Wymeswold tithes from Trinity College Cambridge: correspondence with Nicholas Rightus one of Leeke Okeover's Hardwick, Norfolk, tenants regarding estate matters at Hardwick including a letter of 25 January 1747/1748 asking for a reduction in rent due to the great losses amongst both his beef and dairy cattle, a letter of 18 Jun 1748 mentioning William Okeover's death and a letter of 9 Mar 1750 mentioning a hurricane at Hardwick which blew down three houses : 10 Apr 1749 letter from Robert Bakewell to Leeke Okeover demanding payment of a bill : 12 Nov 1750 C. Morrison to Leeke Okeover asking for particulars of the Hardwick and West Winch estates : 8 May 1751 letter by Leeke Okeover mentioning Miss Mary Nicoll's running away with her maid, her alleged ill-treatment by Margaret, Leeke Okeover's wife and the subsequent court case
