TitleTenancy agreement between Haughton Charles Okeover and William Philips by which Okeover has let to Philips on a year to year basis, a messuage or tenement with outbuildings in Snelsdale and closes but acreage given as 95 acres : annual rent £126 : £20 per acre additional rent for ploughing closes other than Far Close, Rye Grass Close and Upper Cornfield : in the course of tillage not to take more than three crops of corn from off the said lands, and shall during the course of tillage make a summer fallow for wheat or a fallow for turnips upon such lands and shall not take more than one crop of corn or grain upon such lands as shall fallowed after making such fallows and shall lay down the same in a clean husbandlike manner with 12 lbs of good clover seed and other grass seeds and half a bushel of rye grass seeds upon every acre and keep the same in pasture unbroken for the next two years : tenant allowed for hay and winter fallow wheat at the expiration of the agreement.
