Administrative HistoryRecords of the parish of Shardlow St James, from 1838. Shardlow was originally a part of the parish of Aston upon Trent (for records of this, see D1408). The church at Shardlow was built in 1838, it became a separate ecclesiastical parish in 1850, Great Wilne is included with Shardlow - the two formed a joint township. These records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in a number of consignments beginning in June 1997
