DescriptionThis map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:

Over Haddon n.d. [mid 18c.] Scale: of 4 chains [1:1600]. Size: 85 x 40 cm. Materials: [ink on paper]. Centred on: SK2066. Notes: compass rose. Shows fields with reference numbers and letters, open fields named Castle Low Field, The West Field, Grinlow Field, Buron Dale Field with lettered strips: Bakewell Moor, Haddon Moor, Duke of Devonshire's Meadow Pleck Wood: stones and crags drawn, houses in perspective, River Lathkill, bridge, 'natural cascade', mill pool: roads, trees, 'The Common pasture' with gates: explanation Table bottom right-hand side.
