Administrative HistoryRecords of the parish of Derby St Chad from 1878.

St Chad's ecclesiastical parish was formed in 1882, the year in which the church was consecrated. It had formerly been a conventional district, served by a temporary iron church from 1878. The parish was created from parts of Christ Church, Derby (for records see D1794), St James, Derby (see D3308) and Normanton (see D3611). The church closed in 1994 and was demolished in 1996.

St Augustine's parish (see D3307) was created out of St Chad's in 1908. It had formerly been a mission church of St Chad's.
