Further information: Kominek was in Pastures Hospital from 1953 with a diagnosis of depression 'and is not allowed to shave since he is on the Suicidal card list. He does not speak in answer to any question'. Psychiatrist's report of 1954 gives: 'On the history obtainable it appears that his conduct was normal enough in spite of other accidents in the pit in 1950 [...] After the accident of 16.11.1953, he behaved abnormally and psychotic symptoms arose'. |
