Further information: The tribunal decision paperwork states 'On examination we find that this man has a neurosis but there is no evidence of any nystagmus. Some degree of the neurosis may be attributable to the prescribed disease of nystagmus.' handwritten notes state 'listless and depressed.' A handwritten letter refers to the condition as 'stag.' An Opthalmologist's report states 'Severe photophobia but no form Nystagmus [...] This man has an anxiety state and requires psychiatric treatment.'
