Description	Correspondence concerning individual miners and their claims for ongoing compensation for injuries they suffered prior to the commencement of the National Insurance (Industrial Injuries) Act 1946 in July 1948. The files cover cases handled by the Area Compensation Agent in 1968 and 1969, although some of the material is dated earlier and some of it continues into the 1980s, and individuals whose surnames are within the alphabetical range K-O. The correspondence also includes enquiries concerning other types of compensation claims, redundancy and retirement.
