| Administrative History | Membership of the Sports Committees consisted of:
- 5 men appointed by the Area Welfare Committee
- Joint Secretaries of the Area Welfare Committee
- District Welfare Officer
- 5 Sports Secretaries to the Group Welfare Committees
In addition, two other persons connected with sports organisations or having special qualifications or experience, and appointed by the Area Welfare committee, were also part of the committees. National Coal Board (NCB) Area Officers had the right to attend.
The Sports Committees were responsible for the promotion and organisation of both indoor and outdoor sports in connection with Miners' Welfare Schemes in the Derbyshire Area. |
