Administrative History | This may be the account book of a member of the Ferrers family which owned the manor of Walton on Trent. These accounts are centred on Walton, household expenses are high and by far the largest house in Walton recorded in the Hearth Tax Assessments 1662-1670 belonged to John Ferrers esq. In 1680 John Ferrers sold his Walton estate to Richard Taylor, a member of a Survey family. |
