Administrative History	Records of the parish of St Matthew, Morley, from 1540. This is one of the ancient parishes in the county. Smalley (for records see D784) was a chapelry of Morley until 1877, when it became a separate ecclesiastical parish. These records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in a number of consignments beginning in June 1977.
