Archive CreatorDerbyshire County Council: Amber Valley and Erewash Area Education Office
Administrative HistoryIlkeston School Board was formed in July 1878. The following Board schools were built: Granby, Kensington, Chaucer Street, Wesley Street (later Cotmanhay road) and Gladstone. The former British school on Bath Street was also taken over for a while in the early 1890's and later closed. The first volume was formerly used for school attendance committee minutes May 1877 to August 1878.
Custodial HistoryAcquired by Derbyshire Record Office from the Amber Valley & Erewash Area Education Office in 1976.
