DescriptionThese maps are described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:

The Mapp of Mr. Strutts Land being in the Parish of Ashbourne in the Countie of Derby Taken in ye month of October 1702. Scale: 300 links to one inch and by Mr. Gunters Chains being fore pearches longe. Each pearch 25 links [1:2400]. Size: 57 x 39 cm. Materials: sepia ink and pencil on paper. Centred on: SK183459 Notes:shows field-names, areas and tenants names: endorsed 'Plan of an estate in the parish of Ashbourne in Com. Derb. Clifton. Drawn in 1702': addition 'then Mr. Strutts Farm'. Sketch map, 49 acres, fields named and areas given: endorsed 'A Survey of Humphrey Keepers Farme 1717. The Farme then belonged to Mr. Gisborne, Ashbourne'. Location: DRO, D157/M/T 2636/2
