Custodial History	The volumes covering 1881-1891 and 1938-1961 were deposited by Alfreton Urban District Council and its successor Amber Valley Borough Council. The volume covering 1898-1913 was donated in November 2021 along with other unrelated records on behalf of a former local historian from Melbourne. It is not known how it came to be in the possession of the local historian, nor where the other missing volumes may be.
