Administrative History | East Derbyshire Field Club (named "because its then members were drawn from the East Derbyshire Teachers' Association") was founded in 1902. It was renamed as the North East Derbyshire Field Club in 1949. Its aim was to undertake "serious nature study rambles" mainly in the East Derbyshire area (ref: D1167/8/1), stimulating interest in the countryside through talks, presentations and visits. The final annual general meeting of the club took place in August 2020. |
Custodial History | D1167/1 was deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in 1972. D1167/2 was donated in March 2014 by a member of the club. The remaining records were deposited by the former treasurer in August 2021. |
