DescriptionThis map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:

No title [Green Fairfield/Wormhill common17c.]. Scale: of perches according to the scale of 21 foot to the perch [1:10000]. Size: 30 x 61 cm. Materials: [black and white photocopy on 2 sheets]. Centred on: SK085748 Notes: sketch map, small portion stained, showing common pasture on Long Ridge from Long Dale to 'the commons belong to Chappel parishe': crossed by 'Bathomb Gate', with boundary marker points named e.g. Tom Thorne, other features named: 3 named houses in elevation, few trees and 'the high way leading from Chappell to Buxton' on edge of common.
