Centred on: SK085748 Notes: sketch map, small portion stained, showing common pasture on Long Ridge from Long Dale to 'the commons belong to Chappel parishe': crossed by 'Bathomb Gate', with boundary marker points named e.g. Tom Thorne, other features named: 3 named houses in elevation, few trees and 'the high way leading from Chappell to Buxton' on edge of common.
