DescriptionThis map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:

A Survey of Cutthorpe in the Parish of Brampton in the County of Derby. Property held by Cornelius Clarke in trust for nephew George Heathcote during minority. [c1690]. Scale: of ye 4 pole chains [1:2400] Size: 41 x 33 cm. Materials: faded sepia ink on parchment with colour. Centred on: SK345735 Notes: compass rose, NNW to top. Shows named fields with area, some very faint, including 'The Tenter yard, The Broad Frith, The Hallows'. 157 acres: list of acreages possibly in different tenureships down right-hand side: large decorative leaf along left-hand side. Location: DRO, D1000/6/4
