Biography	John was an enslaved African on the Turners Hall sugar plantation in Barbados, who first appears in the records on 31 December 1759. In 1759 and 1771 he was recorded as a carpenter and would have been responsible for repairs to buildings, carts, etc. He doesn't appear on the 1780 list so probably died between 1771 and 1779. He had a daughter called Rose.
