• Joshua Heathcote and Joseph Needham, both of Hartington Middle Quarter, farmers, persuading George Brown to marry Mary Harrison, thus freeing the inhabitants of Hartington of the maintenance of Mary Harrison, 30 Aug 1807 [Separately almost at the bottom of the box is a traverse dated 11 Apr 1809, relating to this allegation, recording that George Brown’s settlement was in Upper Hallam and indicating offers of payment for a marriage licence, a wedding breakfast and other costs and a payment of £10 to George Brown]
• Joseph Newton of Crich, yeoman, overseer of the poor of Wessington, Joseph Hopkinson of Morton, constable of Wessington and Samuel Marshall of Crich, assistant constable, conspiring to persuade John Unsworth to marry Ellen Smithurst, thus burdening the inhabitants of Alfreton with the maintenance of Ellen Smithurst, 15 Jan 1808
