DescriptionLists of the jurors to enquire for the King (or Queen) and the body of the County, some possibly draft lists, but most probably the final lists, with a few jury panels for individual cases. The sheriff's name is normally at the foot of the panels. They give name, place, usually but not always status, very occasionally they may be annotated with a comment such as "Quaker" or "no freeholder". They are not dated. Dates given are those assigned to them in the 19th century.

ArrangementThese documents were probably originally contained in the Sessions bundles, but when the bundles were dismantled in the 19th century the lists or panels of jurors were separated out into a separate series.

They consist chiefly of parchment strips on which the lists of jurors are written, almost always undated. Some paper draft or working lists are also included. Presumably at the time the sessions bundles were taken apart, dates were pencilled on some of the lists and others were grouped into annual bundles and labelled with the year and often the sheriff's name.

The dates given below for these documents are those assigned in the 19th century and at present no attempt has been made to check them. A number have no dates on them, either original or allocated.

The groups numbered below Q/SB/4/1-19 come from old bundles numbered Box XVII 1,2,3,4.
